Kay Ellen Studebaker-Preston, a former San Rafael resident, died June 10. She was 48.
She was a 22-year resident of San Rafael before taking up residence in Pittsburg 10 years ago. Mrs. Studebaker-Preston graduated from Terra Linda High School and Marin Junior College. Professionally, she managed reservations for Holiday Inn.
She is survived by her husband, Preston of Pittsburg, sons, Keith of Pittsburg, Brad of Concord; brother, Dan Studebaker of San Rafael; sister, Lorie Studebaker-Herrell of Petaluma; and mother, Dolores Studebaker of San Rafael.
Graveside services wereheld Monday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery, 2500 5th Ave., San Rafael.
Memorial contributions can be made to Guide Dogs for the Blind, in lieu of flowers.
Kay and we're friends in '64. She had a beautiful horse in Santa Venetia and she taught me how to ride and jump her horse bareback!! We had a lot of fun together.
