Thank you Reunion Committee for making this possible!!

My Dear Classmates,

Forty-one years ago I did not comprehend how important each of you has been to me. I could not have understood how deeply fascinated I would feel reading your profiles, viewing your photos, and intimate snapshots of your lives.

Perhaps I’m having a Sally Field winning the Oscar moment, ALL of you feel like treasured comrades, none of you feel like long forgotten classmates - strangers. It is insignificant whether or not I knew you at Mary E, Silveira, Vallecito, Catechism, or Terra Linda, you were all present during “the wonder years”, sometimes deliriously happy, others excruciatingly painful, yet surprisingly not quite so distant when I touch base on this Groovy website.

Maybe you have no idea who I was in 1968 or could care less today. Maybe you always thought I was an idiot, or a crack-up. Is any of that important anymore? Thank you for taking the time to share of yourself with us. It is truly meaningful. If you thought no one would notice, please know in your heart that is far from the truth.

I am really looking forward to embracing old friendships and launching new ones. If you can not attend the reunion, keep in touch, update your profile. When we see each other - Please run up and say hello!

Fondly, Cecilia

Thanks to Kris Kerns and Cathy Nelson for a great stroll down memory lane!

I can't even begin to comprehend how much work was put into this party. The website, the event -- all the details. This was an incredible accomplishment!

I think everyone had a really good time. The posters and music and the finishing touch of having some of the faculty attend. Mr. Paolino (looking younger than most of us) and Mr. Corley (who may REALLY have been there to make sure we were all behaving on the dance floor)!

It was a lot of fun sharing memories with those who shared one of life's most vulnerable times. Thanks again Kris and Cathy (and I'm sure there were others on the committee that I haven't mentioned).

What a fabulous reunion! Many thanks to Kris Kerns and her group for putting it all together. The huge effort paid off. I did not have a chance to spend a lot of time with so many of my pals from the past and look forward to the next reunion. I wish everyone good health and happiness and cannot wait to share another fun filled evening with many folks I have known since those early days at Santa Margarita!!!

Fondly

Hello all:

MANY, MANY, MANY "THANKS" to all the dedicated and wonderful members of the "40th Class Reunion", that made Saturday night such a successful event!!! Bob and I had a total blast. The best part was that we not only visited with old friends but actually made some new ones.

My feet keep shouting, "No more shoes or dancing for a while!" If you were there you are aware what I am saying and if you did not attend you really missed out on a totally joyous time.

Funny how as we mature the little things are what really matters. That the past is the past and the clicks really shouldn't not have mattered so much. I am looking forward to getting together with all of you at the next function/reunion; and will be keeping in touch with many with whom I spoke.

Again, KUDOS to the fabulous committee.

Thank you to all of you who coordinated the Baby Bloomer's Ball.

It was a great experience and the Class of 1968 was a very gracious host.

Thanks again, John

I want to add my thanks to the reunion committee for all the work you did putting the 40+1 event together. It was a special night for me to connect with some friends that I had not seen for a long time. I hope that your hearts will be blessed with special connections that will enrich your lives for years to come.

Hello everyone!
I had forgotten about this part of the website, so I have thanked individual people on the reunion committee for all their hard work putting this party together. Now it is time for one big THANK YOU!! Many thanks to all of you for your time and energy for doing this for us. A big hug to my good friend Cathy Nelson for keeping me personally updated with every new development.
I had a total blast reconnecting with everyone! For those of you who have communicated with me thru email for the past several months, it was wonderful to see you in person! Everyone looked wonderful. Some of you ladies look exactly as you did in highschool. You know who you are. What's your secret? I think its unanymous (sp?)we all feel that MR PAULINO LOOKS YOUNGER THAN SOME OF US!
My only regret is that I did not get to talk to everyone of you. I should have walked around more to all the tables and said hello. But there is always the next reunion. I heard it thru the grapevine that an informal barbeque is a possibility for sometime this summer. Lets all try to attend and wear our name pins! Until then, take care, everyone. Stay healthy and God bless you all!

Hi everyone -
I was unable to attend the reunion, but from the pics and
comments, it looked like everyone had a great time. Many
thanks to those who worked so hard on the reunion and
this website. I've loved reading all the profiles and
reconnecting with some old friends. An informal barbeque
sometime this summer sounds great. Keep us posted.

All that effort really paid off thanks to the 40+1 reunion committee; Cathy Nelson, Kris Kerns, Mark Endicott to name a few of many that I am sure helped.

It was so good to see people I had not seen in all those years. Of course I felt strange just 'popping in' from Maryland. But it was still all good. I think Cecilia Crawley's sentiments say it all. It was so interesting to find out things I had forgotten or was unaware.

Thank you so much for getting this together. I hope to make the next one.

Hi Everyone! Although I couldn't attend the Reunion, I have loved seeing all the photos from Cathy! It looks like it was so much fun! Most everyone looks happy and full of lifes experiences. Loved Louise Jacobs' smile and Mary Ellen is just as lovely as she was in High School! Alana and Paul are still GREAT together and Loved seeing Cathy and Mark together! Tony and Susan looked wonderful, too! So many years and memories.... Hope a BBQ happens this summer! The reunion committee did a fantastic job and the website has been so much fun. Thanks to all who shared with us and made this all possible! Mona Hays Reeder

I forgot about this section. Many thanks to Kris and Cathy and the rest of the reunion committee. It was well worth the trip from Alaska. It was good seeing all the friends I grew up with after all these years. My only complaint was time was to short to catch up with everyone and I see some old friends attended that I missed seeing. Thanks again to the folks who put this reunion together for a well done party.

Dear TLHS Class '68,
Thank you for having this message forum. I really do not want to take advantage of your hospitality, but the class of '67 is getting so old (most of us now in 60th year) that we haven't figured out how to start our own web page (atleast not me, and I'm not 60 yet!) . . . I need to use your space and make a request:
Nancy Fry and I, who both live out of state, are putting together our own little reunion because we are going to be in state--if any of you know someone from the class of 1967 (sibling, friend), please pass this message along for me:

WE ARE MEETING IN THE TLHS AMPITHEATER ON SATURDAY, JULY 25TH, 2009, AT NOON, BRING A BAG LUNCH, LET'S ALL CATCH UP.

Thank you Class of '68.
Marsha Zitella

Thanks also to the incredible work on the reunion and this site. My husband also had a reunion this year from Drake. The website they created is not nearly as rich as the one created here. I wish I could have attended the reunion but having this site to walk through was the next best thing. Hi to everyone!!!!!!!!!!Susie Moore (Lochelt)

Some of us were able to get together for a wonderful afternoon of visiting and lunch in Sonoma. It was a great way to start the New Year 2010!
We all know how hard it is to plan a 'get together' these days; distance, family and obligations...but, it's those very special; maybe once in a life time moments that provide us with unforgettable memories. Thank you; Blair, Laure, Patricia and Carey for making those special memories for me come true!
Love you Ladies of '68!
Melinda

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL YOU "MOTHERS"  I LOST MY MOTHER 17 YEARS AGO A COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE MOTHERS DAY.  IT'S ALWAYS BEEN A TOUGH DAY, BUT ALSO BRINGS BACK BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES OF A BEAUTIFUL LADY I WAS FORTUNEATE ENOUGH TO HAVE IN MY LIFE.  SHE INSTILLED ALL THAT'S GOOD ABOUT ME TODAY.  SO MOTHERS, ENJOY YOUR DAY.  FATHERS AND CHILDREN, GIVE THEM THE LOVE THEY DESERVE.
