Today, Tony Dahl reported that Dan had passed away in 2019. I searched the internet for his obituary and found this great photo of Dan and the notice of his passing. I didn't know Dan very well but I know he was well liked. RIP, Dan.

When we were in 5th grade, Dan put pop-bead neclaces and bracelets on my chair legs (turned up for cleaning) that he took from his sister!  What a life time memory you gave me sweet Dan!

I hung out with Dan a little in 67-68. He was a character and funny . It was always an adventure with him. I remember a road trip to Santa Cruz one summer  ,after a day on the beach and roller coaster and bumper cars we were exhausted, sunburned but was a day to remember in his 383 dodge.  Bill Browne

Dan and I were good friends from 4th to 7th grade, when I moved a couple of miles away.  I remeber hiking in the hills above our houses, getting my annual dose of poison oak, and collecting mistletoe to sell to the neighbors at Christmas. Sneaking into the officers' club swimming pool at Hamilton AFB. Getting scared straight at the Novato PD when we were takng potshots with a pellet gun and a .22 (it was in an empty lot). I thought of his father as a larger than life drill sargeant so it shocked me when last I saw him in 1980 to find that I was about 4 inches taller. At that time, Dan was just coming back to the Bay Area to work in Silicon Valley, I believe. We exchanged a couple of messages on this site but that was 3 years ago. He had moved to New Hampshire to be with his father when his mother had passed afte 70 years of marriage! RIP Dan.

Dan and I rode the bus to school in highschool from Ignacio to Terra Linda. He and my sister, Kathy who was one year younger at Novato High also dated . He was a good guy and I wished I had kept in touch better. We communicated briefly not too long ago and I was preoccupied, not realizing Dan wouldn't be around forever. He accomplished a lot in life and I have fond memories of things he said and who he was. I will miss him.
