In Memory

Donna Rhodes (Seversen)

Donna passed away suddenly on October 3, 2020 following  recent surgery. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard,  her son, Timothy, and his  4 children. Donna had many wonderful friends in our class who I know will miss her terribly. She was a dedicated member of   the Class of 1968 reunion committee for at least the last 2 reunions. RIP, Donna.

Donna will be forever missed. A diehard 49er fan living in Seahawk country must have been hard. Will miss our texting during the games. Our thoughts are with Richard and his family during this hard time. Just stunned r his has happened.

That is so sad.  I had a wonderful talk with her at our reunion.  Same beautiful and sunny person she was in hight school.  Sending my thoughts to her family.   Susie Lochelt Moore

I too remember Donna from Vallecito Junior High all the way through High School as a vibrant, caring and warm companion of the class of 68.  Her smile lit up a room.   I'm glad I had the chance to visit with her at the last reunion. My thoughts and prayers to her husband and son.

Such sad news, and so unexpected.  Donna was always so full of life, with a beautiful smile and such elegant style.  We will miss her so much at the reunions.  Caroline Nyhus Ellison

This is a picture of Donna and me at our 50th reunion and another one with us and Janis Giambastini Keel  and Denise Dowdall. MacDonald. What a sweet and big-hearted person she was. So many people are posting here about her. I hope she knows how much she is loved.

I too am speechless over her sudden death. Cried when I heard. So very sad. I am sure she is at peace and smiling that amazing smile of hers over all of us. Thoughts of comfort and courage to Richard and her son and daughter-in-law.

It's so hard to put into words how I much I cared about Donna. We talked the night before her surgery and had been texting afterwards . She was in good spirits, so this hit me like a ton of bricks. She was one of the really good ones, she never judged, she always had that wonderful bright smile. I will miss my friend. My thoughts are with Richard and Tim. Make sure to hug your loved ones.

I am in shock!  We had reconnected when I was living in Santa Rosa and she was always full of smiles and so fun!  I knew she had been dealing with some health issues, but thought it was behind her.  Heartbroken for her husband and son!

Truly saddened by this news. I knew Donna since Mary E. Silveira Elementary School in Marinwood. Have a soft spot for all the Marinwood kids. She was taken from us too soon. Wishing her family and loved ones peace. Cecilia

I was very shocked & sad to learn of Donna's passing.  She had just posted on Facebook on 9/26/20 how she had suffered some health issues this year but felt that she was on the mend and was feeling better.  She had hoped to be going home from the hospital the next day.   I've known Donna since we were 7th graders at Vallecito Jr High.  Kind of lost touch during high school but reconnected on Facebook 8 or 10 years ago.  I served on the 50th reunion committee with Donna.  We both had flown into Oakland for the reunion weekend and I drove her and Richard to the hotel on my way to my son's house in Santa Rosa.  We got to visit a lot that weekend, both working at the check-in table & then sitting together at the party.  You will be missed, Donna.  Rest easy now, my friend.
